    General Loxone system question

    Good morning everyone,

I’am Tim, new to the forum, and not yet a Loxone guy, but a Jeedom, Zwave, IPX800 guy.

I’m pretty happy with my current configuration but I am also looking for something more professional and that requires a bit less imput and tweaking from me to be able to operate fully and seamlessly. Specially for other house member that are not as geek and computer oriented as I am.

I did had a pretty good look at other systems and the Loxone one with its Tree and Air protocol are appealing.

    Now my questions are:
    - Does Loxone offer the same freedom in scenario and freedom in programming as jeedom does (e.g: writing my own code to operate a fan based on air temperature for home heating)
    - I currently use Legrand Ecocompteur IP based meter for my electric monitoring, is there a way to keep using it and not changing with ModBus or RS485 equipment (big investment on top of the loxone system)
    - What would be the downs and up of Loxone from your perspective?

Thank you for your time and answers,

    Best regards,

    Tim

Regarding freedom: I don't know jeedom, but in general Loxone is pretty flexible. Plus if the loxone platform possibilities are not enough, you can always connect it to another tool, like Home Assistant for instance.
