Loxone cloud DNS broken once again?

Seems the Loxone Cloud DNS is broken once again since 00h10 during the night.
TIll now, 6h30 still not operating again.

A global Loxone service overview with ✅ and ❌ should be verry usefull! As all big internet companies forsee.
    Example: https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/

Loxone caller service is still working.
Smart home : Miniserver Gen2, 2xRelay ext, 2xDimmer ext, 4xExtensions, Tree ext, Air base ext, RGBW dimmer tree, 13xTouch tree, 6xMotion sensor tree, 9xEsylux PD-C 360i 8UC, 15xValve actuator tree, 9xSmoke detector air, 4xSmart socket air , IR control air, Remote air, SDM630 modbus kWh
    Multimedia: MS4H on PI4 with 7 zones + Dayton Audio MA1240a, Epson EH-TW7100 + Onkyo TX-NR686 + IR repeaters

Yes, it was broken last night but it's up and running again.
I think, what they need is an IT-Monitoring solution with escalation steps and technicans that will woke up even through the night to fix such important issues.

Indeed it's the "key of the front door" to control the whole smart home.
It's quite important that it is reliable.

Already thinging of a VPN server as backup
Or going back to basic with port forwarding 🥲

In my opinion the https website on the gen2 miniserver with a non-standard port is the best solution. So I only rely on the internet connection at home, not at a third party service that is not stable as it should be.

True, but I don't like port forwarding, as the whole world can nock on your miniserver front door (login page).
Not a good thing for brute force attacks
and not good for denial of service attacks which generates as much traffic till the miniserver cpu is flooded and stop processing your smart home tasks.

The Loxone cloud DNS (MQTT / VPN) thing in combinatie with a gen 2 miniserver is a quite good secure solution.
But you are depending on a cloud service owned by Loxone
When it is reliable, it is an awesome solution.
But last year, it is not

I am using the remote connect feature since I have migrated to MS gen 2 beginning of the year.
From the past, when I was using VPN on MS gen 1, I still have the VPN app on my mobile and configured in the fritz box.
For those cases like yesterday I can switch to manually operate via VPN.

I would recommend to have a VPN connection as a back up.
For the other 99% when the remote server is running, it is much easier to use and reliable AND it is faster than VPN (Intercom camera e.g)

please, if VPN is possible, do not use Port forwarding... as querex already explained...

Remote Connect has been online again since 10:15 a.m. We sincerely apologize for the long outage.

Background: During the night our host performed an emergency maintenance, which caused the Remote Connect Server to lose connection. Together with our hoster we are still investigating the exact cause of the problem to make sure it doesn't happen again.

M4RC Many thanks for the support.
Hopefull Loxone works on a technical improvement for long term.
Past months there where more outages.

Not a fix, but usefull, a service status page should be usefull for partners / clients.
(Loxone cloud DNS / loxone caller service / loxone webshop? / loxone api? / ...)
