Heating Control in the rooms with display of the temperature

    Hello,

I am coming from a KNX installation with individual controls of radiators with Berker switches on the wall that can display and control the temperature.
This is quite handy especially when you have guests or kids that want to easily adapt the temperatures to their needs.

I see that the option from Loxone does not have something similar, with a temperature display and control directly on the thermostat or on the wall.
For me this is a less optimal solution, even if I know that Loxone should know better them me what is the ideal temperature in every room.

Do you know an essay way to control implement something similar with my current solution ?

    Thanks!

There are German threads, explaining the use of the display of MDT glass switch 2 (“MDT Glastaster 2”). It is tricky as Loxone IRC acts at it’s own and is not developed for external control.

The other way would be tablet on the wall.

All in all, in practice there is no need for ad hoc external control of the temperature, especially with low temperature heating like floor heating.

The tablet was the back-up solution, a single one at the floor level, with the default page in Loxone app on temperature....

The MDT Glastaster 2 looks very nice, how "tricky" it is ?

I don’t have the Glass switch 2 (only the first edition), so I haven’t done this myself.
But from the thread and my knowledge of IRC, on a scale of 1-easy to 10-heavy, I would say it’s 8 to 9...?

Within IRC, you can use operating modes for saving temperature, party mode and higher temperature mode.
This would be an alternative way controlling the room temperature, without directly setting a temperature value.

For glass switch 2, possibly someone with real experience can answer the effort.
