Loxone Air setting as Router

I must be missing something. In the documentation for the RGBW 24V Dimmer Air it says "All Air devices that have a permanent power supply (not battery powered) can also be used as a router. This means that signals from devices with a poor connection to the Air Base Extension are amplified and therefore a greater range can be achieved."
But I can't find if this has been enabled or not. My experience of when things are supposed to be on by default is often they are not, so would like to check.
