Converting 5V digital ouput to 24V digital input
I have purchased a PIR sensor (AMN31112J) which does give a digital output on 5V DC. I like to read this output on one of the digital inputs of my Loxone miniserver, but that must be minimal 10VDC. Do you have a cheap but reliable method to read that 5VDC output into a digital input of Loxone ?Stichworte: - -

or you could use a solid state optocoupler like this one:

I have some similar PIRs installed. I made a small PCB with a Voltage Regulator to get the 5 V for it and with two Transistors to transform the signal from 5 to 24V. Instead of the Transistors you can use an Optocoupler of course.

Hi, (Sorry for not speaking German)
I'm a real newbie with electronics but I started a small project with Loxone: Build a radar/presence detector
This is what I did:
- Plugged the 24V+/Gnd to a N7805-500 to convert 24V to 5V.
- Fed the 5V to a "HFS-DC06H" radar
But I forgot that Loxone Digital Input needs 24. So I found you post.
To do the same you used a "CNY17". I see why and I guess the output of the "HFS-DC06H" will go to the "forward current" input of CNY17 to feed the led.
I imagine the 24V from Loxone will go to the other side.
But when trying to buy CNY17 there are variants: CNY17-1 to CNY17-4
Could you help me select the right one?
Hope someone can help me.

Normaly a simple NPN transistor or a N-channel Fet will do the job.
With the Transistor, the signal can be pulled to GND and with a Resitor the signal could pulled to high e.g. 24V.

I found this : "https://www.electronicshub.org/transistor-as-a-switch/" but all circuits include resistors which I would not be able to choose/calculate.
Sorry to ask for even more help.
