    Loxone and Mode Lighting Dimmers

    Hi Guys.
First time poster from England so go easy.
I've managed to pick up some Mode Lighting dimmers, which are as follows http://www.modelighting.com/wp-conte...03-04-PLUS.pdf and works of the MBus system.
Any idea on how i can integrate them with a Loxone Mini server Go setup?

From a short view on the products/datasheets from modelighting, i would say, you would need their "Network Processor Control Module" ( http://www.modelighting.com/wp-conte...00-01-PLUS.pdf ) as interface between their dimmer modules and another system like the Miniserver.
For me it is not clear if their M-Bus is the same M-Bus system that is widely used here in Germany for metering . (would be strange to control lighting with it ??? , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meter-Bus )

the network processor control module allows you to set scenes for the dimmer modules (using its inbuilt web browser) then you can send telnet commands using virtual outputs from loxone to switch scenes - there may be an api to control actual dimming but there is no information in the user doc for the network module

http://www.modelighting.com/wp-conte...are-Manual.pdf - it might be worth contacting their customer support to see if there is direct control of the dimming functionality using the network control unit

the dimmers seem to be leading edge so they may not play nicely with some dimmable leds...

Thanks for the posts, think it might be a case of selling these on, as it looks like its going to be a right nightmare ;-)

I would rather go with some common bus systems like DMX or DALI for lightning. Scenes are already included in the MS, so there is no need for such "intelligent" components that may be complicated to program and difficult to integrate into a Loxone system.
Miniserver v14.5.12.7, 2x Ext., 2x Relay Ext., 2x Dimmer Ext., DMX Ext., 1-Wire Ext., Gira KNX Tastsensor 3 Komfort, Gira KNX Präsenzmelder, Fenster- und Türkontakte, Loxone Regen- und Windsensor, Gira Dual Q Rauchmelder vernetzt, 1x Relais-Modul
Loxberry: SmartMeter, MS Backup, CamConnect, Weather4Lox
Lüftung: Helios KWL EC 370W ET mit Modbus TCP - via Pico-C
Heizung: Stiebel Eltron WPF 5 cool (Sole-Wasser WP) mit ISG, FB-Heizung mit 18 Kreisen, Erdsonde - via modbus/TCP
          Node-RED: IKEA Tradfri

Yeah i agree, however i bought these well before even thinking about and seeing the Loxone system so thought i might be able to integrate somehow. ;-)
