I have an intercom XL with the keyfob reader integrated being installed in my new house.
At the same time the installers also fitted a normal door lock in. This seems slightly counter intuitive to me which slightly defeats the purpose of the keyfob. Once I said this, I got the reply: "how to you open the door is the electricity goes down", which is sensible but raises another question. Should I keep the loxone system working under a UPS power backup system? Also, do people who use keyfobs generally also have a normal door lock?
Kind regards,
