Touch surface question

Hi everyone👋
i have Loxone touch surface and want to place it in the shower under 8mm painted tempered glass.
Touch surface is already connected to check if the wirring was ok. I have not pealed off brown protective layer and tried to put the glass on top of touch surface but there is no reaction when touching the glass. Then tried to put metal sheet of 3 mm on top of touch surface but there was no reaction to touch either. When you try to.touch the surface without putting anything on top, then it works well.
Could it be that the touch surface through the glass will work only when protective layer will be pealed off? I am aftaid to glue them together before finding out if it going to work or not.

Hi. i managed to solve it. It seem that touch surface works when I removed 3M protection layer and glued touch surface to the glass.

Just as refference I add some photo to see what solution I did in the shower.
Since my tiles aren't big, easiest way was to insert in between tiles an 8mm tepered painted glass on which touch surface template was engraved. Ten I only used silicone around, so J would be able to take out that glass in case of fault
