    Brain Boxes

Has anybody used the brain boxes range into the loxone system?
Seems that you could add extra digital and analogue inputs, at a possible fraction of the cost of loxones extensions.

Products. Check out our wide range of industrial devicesnnCategory 01nnThis is the feature description, where you can go into more detail about the item

If cost is an issue, then go the KNX way.
    e.g.

You`re right. You need that freakin` pricey KNX Software. Otherwise just take ETS Lite and make some more Projects. ETS Lite is usable just for 20 KNX Devices by Project. It`s still not for free but its not that expensive like ETS5.

Nonsense.....if you are using Loxone, even the free (5 devices) ETS version is ok.
You do not need to create all your devices within one project if they are communicating with the Miniserver and not with each other.

The additional cost associated with KNX comes from the power supply and maybe the interface if you need one (IP or USB, though you can also use the miniserver itself).
The benefit of KNX is that it is cheaper to purchase the devices, but also and mostly because the quality (reliability) of the devices tends to be very good.
