    Leakage Detection winth loxone

    Hi ,

I have been asked to install water leakage automation system, which detects if there is a leakage.
I thought about installing many sensors but this is not the solution the client wants.
the building is 8000 Sqm, Each floor has 1000 sqm and is devided to 4 parts. each unit has water metering system- Total 4 metering system. the size of the tubes are 1 1/2 " or 2 " .

I was thinking to start by finding a good water flow meter 0-10v by measuring any dramatic change. Does anyone have any better ideas ?

    Thanks in Advance

That‘s the way commercial Systems work. You just need to find out what exactly dramatic change is.

your client should define what he understands by a "leakage" - because it goes from detecting that a toilet has a flush that doesn't close perfectly to a broken pipe

You don’t need 0-10V for water flow, but simple pulses for each xxx liters.
Detection logic would be somewhat of, “If impulses do not stop even after hours, there is some kind of leaking”.

It also depends on the building. If this e.g. a school and you want to detect vandalism at toilets I still recommend a leackage detector.

Thank you, too. I think your ideas helped me to find a way, how to resolve a challenge "security" in smart homes. Do you have further suggestions?
