Tablet Empfehlung 2021

Hallo,

Wir haben mit loxone gebaut und sind jetzt auf der Suche nach 3 Tables.
Leider bin ich nicht nach der Recherche was man nehmen sollte nicht viel schlauer geworden.

Zu meiner Frage:
mit welcher Plattform (APPLE oder Android) läuft es am besten stabil und schnell.

Welche Hardware liefert das beste Gesamtpaket
wie z.b Akku (wird nicht ständig geladen, oder lädt erst ab 10% bei Anschluss am dauer Strom)
Wie verhält sich das Display, am besten einen mit näherungssensor, soll ja nicht dauer an sein.

Was sind eure Erfahrungen, was würdet ihr ändern wenn ihr könnt oder auch so belassen.

Ich bin mit mehreren günstigen Samsung Galaxy Tab A zufrieden.

Schaltet sich bei Präsenz ein, lädt bei Bedarf (Stichwort Apps: „Woli“ und „Tasker“).

Dazu eine einfache 0815 Wandhalterung.
5V Netzteil zum Laden ist im Schaltschrank. Man könnte auch 24 V geschaltet nutzen mit einem entsprechenden Wandler vor dem Tabletanschluss.

Ist dafür Root notwendig oder hast du zufällig einen Link, nach dem du es gebaut hast? Bei Googlen findet man sehr viel, aber natürlich auch immer wieder Fälle die dann z.B. nach einem Android Update nicht mehr oder unzuverlässig funktioniert haben. Also wenn man viel Zeit bekommt man es bestimmt hin, aber mit einem Link würde es schneller gehen

Danke für die Antwort, es spielt also erst mal keine Rolle ob Apple oder Android bis auf dem Preis.

Ich schaue mir mal den anderen Artikel an.

Doch spielt es...
iOS = geschlossenes System
Android = offenes System

Du kannst mit Apps bei Android deutlich mehr steuern.
- Batterie ladung zB 20-80 und nicht immer bis 100% etc
- mit Woli2 kannst du unendlich viel machen wie zB das Display per Befehl vom MiniServer ein/aus schalten Meldungen absetzen usw usw.

Ich nutze aktuell TabA 2019 10 Zoll, die sind schnell, und lassen sich auch Unterputz sehr gut installieren mit den Rahmen von Holger_kausch

But are you 100% sure to have a reliable and fast enought wi-fi connection ? Did you ever considered a POE to usb-c to act as a power supppy and phisical LAN connection ?

Example. If the tablet is sleeping and an intercom call come, you may not be in time to answer to who's calling, because of WiFi needs to get up in a certain time to fully work...

At Android you can choose on energy settings if wifi is always on or go to sleep.
so there is not problem with wakeup and get the informed about bell or what ever...

Ok, so you would not consider in any case a POE - LAN connection for the tablet? I mean via usb-c now most of the tablet handle power and data via usb-c.

It may happen access points sometimes need to be restarted...

Up to you what you want to do, but I can say from 4 Year of experience with Android (Samsung) Tablets / Woli / Loxone that is not needed.
If a AP is restarted my Tabs connect again after restart. If there is a longer period without data-connection you have to re login into Loxone App.

I only have a one year experience with Samsung Tab A 510 but can say that i am very satisfied with the solution using a USBC/LAN POE Adapter.
As i always try to avoid Wifi connections whenever possible, this was the best solution for me.
I accept wireless connections for all kind of moving devices but would never accept them for any kind of stationary devices. Cable is Cable is Cable. 😉

Yes, this is exaclty my usual approach too, (other than switching off APs during the night). And also for Loxone installation I just have Air for shading, at that time no nano-relay tree available yet...

Which kind of POE to usb-c adapter do u use ?
