Daniel, You need to be more specific. Old or new intercom? What do you mean that it is not detected? By what? The miniserver or the new router?

For the gen1 intercom. Before you swap you'll need to log onto your intercom and change the network settings to the new router environment. Then you'll need to do the same in config for the intercom. MS and intercom should be in the same network, i.e. a direct connection between intercom and MS is required.

PS: I just saw that you have the intercom gen2. I guess that similar adaptations are needed.

      Hey schurli,

Yes, it is indeed an Intercom Gen2.

When connected directly to Unifi devices, the router doesn't detect it, which also means the Miniserver can't see it either. The Intercom has a static IP address assigned both in the Unifi console and on the Intercom itself. I don’t want to keep this additional old router—I’d like to get rid of it completely.

It doesn’t matter whether I connect the Intercom to the UDM Pro or the USW-24-PoE—it never works. Changing ports also doesn’t make any difference. I've tested using the same cable and the same PoE injector.

I'm also attaching an images illustrating the current setup.

ps. On top of that, there is a UDM Pro in the setup as well, but I didn’t include it in the image to keep things simple and avoid unnecessary complications.

So, the old router is switched to bridge mode, so in the Ubiquiti console, it appears as a 3rd party switch. Each device connected to old router (only intercom in this case) gets an IP address from the VLAN range that is assigned to that specific port in USW-24-poe (192.168.30.0/24 mask in my case).

Anyways, I just connected an additional Ubiquiti device, the USW-Aggregation, to the USW-24-POE. I plugged the intercom into the USW-Aggregation, and surprise – it works! But not immediately; it started working only after I disabled following parameters (in port's configuration of USW-Aggregation):
        - Spanning Tree Protocol
        - LLDP-MED

Now, intercom still doesn't work when connected directly to USW-24-POE (without USW-aggregation), even though I disabled those parameters for that port as well. So, I believe the issue is related to the switch settings (perhabs global switch settings) of Ubiquiti devices, like STP / switch prioritization.
I will play with this a bit, and will see:

ps. wanted to add some screenshots here, but looks like it's not possible through "comment"

I also have an Unifi USW 24 POE switch connected to a cloud gateway connected to a modem in bridging mode with a cloud key+. I'm not an expert in networking but I also think some network settings are not correct, whether that's on your intercom or on your network.

cross checked in my environments: I've successfully tested another gen2 intercom on UDM-SE, UDM-PRO and an older Unifi PoE switch without problems.
