    Garage setup advise needed.

Hi all - would appreciate your thoughts and guidance on my new project.

I already have a Loxone setup in my house:
Miniserver, Tree extension, air base extension, relay extensions, Dimming extension, Alarm, etc.

My garage is almost finished and it's time to put in the wiring.
The garage is about 30 meters away from my house connected with empty conduits near both electrical/loxone cabinets.
Two cat6 cables are already in place I don't have Loxone tree wire

    my requirements:
    • Wired Loxone Touch
    • Wired presence sensors
    • wired Code Touch
    • sensors garage door (open/close) and programmable warning if open under certain conditions.
    • Air smoke detector
    • 3-6 separate light circuits (5 groups of light)
    • Dimming is optional
    • 3 programmable relay outlets/circuits (one is outdoor) - perhaps also an additional relay to power two 2kW or 3kW heaters.
    • extendable with air components.
    • additional requirement: I prefer to avoid wireless products if I can.

    optional in future:
    • Loxone weather station or at least a simpel temperature sensor (to control Valve actuators in my house) one-wire temperature sensor?
    • irrigation control
    • Additional relays/circuits to control garden lights
    • all suggestions are welcome.

Which items will I need and what's the best way to connect the new components from the miniserver located in my house?
    • multi Air extension?
    • Air base extension?

    additional question
    • Is it possible to deactivate the loxone smoke detector for a certain period?

=> You have a lot of possibilities. Either loxone components via Air, multiextension air, ... as you mentioned or loxone-external devices. Hue, LAN I/O Cards, Raspberry-Pi ("Loxberry"), Shelly, Sonoff ("Tasmota"), ...
In some cases wireless is useful (e.g. retrofitting, when there is no way for an additional cable), sometimes it is not "secure" (e.g. Wifi-Relay-boards for opening the main door - when wlan is off you are not able to access the house and you need the your key - when you can find some )
Also not recommendable ... connection of a safety related device (Gas sensor, ...) via "handicraft work" (e.g. WLAN-Loxberry to Loxone). To many interfaces and reasons why the gas alert is not working.

So i would say wireless is boon and bane.

you also have WLAN in the house. About "Toxic radiation" you can discuss a long time and you will never come to an end.
It's better to discuss about your favorite beer also an endless discussion but more funny

    additional question
    • Is it possible to deactivate the loxone smoke detector for a certain period?
=> Yesno! You can't deactivate the smoke detection of an idividual smoke detector, but you can deactivate the alarming (extern sirene, ...) in the fire-alarm.
Some fire detector outside loxone have the possibility to deactivate detection on the device for a period of time.

Thank you for your quick answer.
just to be sure: the fire alarm can be suppressed by means of programming - for example a timer building block to just suppressing this particular fire alarm device . Doesn’t the loxone device have an internal alarm as well you can’t bypass? The idea is to not hear any alarm when smoking a cigar.

Update: As the loxone smoke detector is an Air device. I can always install it within arm’s reach and set it aside.

        google finding:

        translation ...
is smoke of a cigarette able to trigger a smoke detektor? => Yesno!
"normal" smoking of one person (or two persons) => no alarm
"extensive" smoking of several persons or blowing the smoke directly into the detector => alarm!

Try it, i think there is no problem expectable.

          Documentation from Loxone ...

"In case of accidental triggering, the alarm can be silenced by pressing the test button. After 10 minutes the detector will return to normal operation"

There is no possibility to silence the detector before the alarm is tiggered.

You don't always need sensors with garage gates. I have hormann rollmatic gates. In the control box of the gate (where all the connections are made) there are two outputs with can be shortcutted using one of loxones relais to create a pulse which opens/or closes the gates and there are also two outputs which signal when the gates are fully closed (a relais is opened or closed in the controller of the gate between the two terminals) and which can also be connected to loxone. This way i can open or close my gates using loxone (but also using the regular push buttons on the gate control) and i always know the actual status (open/closed).
