Neues "internes" backup tool

Was soll ich denn da gucken? Wenn ihr die Shares selbst in der fstab eintragt, müsst ihr auch sicher stellen, dass sämtliche Berechtigungen passen. Wenn ihr die Shares über unser Widget eingebunden habt und es geht dann nicht, meldet euch gerne. Aber um eure eigene Konfiguration kann ich mich leider nicht kümmern = sorry.

Hey,
ich hätte jetzt eigentlich erwartet, dass es mit NFS auch funktionieren sollte, aber irgendwo hängt es da an den Berechtigten. Muss gestehen, dass mir das Rinbinden von Shares über SMB nicht wirklich bekannt war. Habe den Punkt jetzt aber gefunden und alles auf SMB umgestellt und jetzt funktioniert es.

Bei mir funktioniert es nun auch, allerdings ohne NFS. Hab mir den Server in Loxberry via Samba hinzugefügt und jetzt läuft das Backup durch. Vielen Dank Prof.Mobilux für deine Hilfe per PM!
bob83 hat es ebenso also Kommentar oben erwähnt. Via Samba ist es leichter zu warten und man spart sich auch den fstab Eintrag.

Ich muss mich hier auch mal mit einklinken, da bei mir alles (bis auf Backups) funktioniert - das betrifft sowohl Backups über das Backup-Widget, als auch Miniserver-Backups über das entsprechende Plugin, Grund hierfür vermutlich meine SMB-Netzwerkadresse, auf der ich die Backups haben möchte.

Irgendwo ist da ein Knoten drin - ich kann den aktuell konfigurierten Server nicht entfernen, es werden mir zwei Freigaben angezeigt, wovon eine ganz offensichtlich eher ein USB-Stick als eine 2TB-NAS ist...... Die andere ist angeblich Readonly.

Wäre jemand bereit, mich diesbezüglich zu unterstützen?

Mit genau denselben Login-Daten etc. lief auf der Version V2.2.2.2 alles reibungslos.

ich versuche gerade über das Backup-Widget die Sicherung auf ein NAS einzurichten. Leider erhalte ich im Log die Fehlermeldung

Im NAS ist die Sicherungsdatei vorhanden. Kann mir vielleicht jemand helfen was die Fehlermeldung zu bedeuten hat und wie ich das lösen kann.

Danke für deine Antwort. Das Dateisystem ist NTFS. Und den Stick habe ich neu formatiert. Sollte eigentlich passen...?!

Kann es vielleicht daran liegen, dass versucht wird mit dem Befehl das Backup zu prüfen und das scheitert weil auf dem loxberry zu wenig freier Speicher ist? Das Image hat ca. 3,5GB und das loxberry nur einen gesamten Speicher von 4GB.

Konnte jetzt das Problem etwas eingrenzen. Es liegt an der NAS Anbindung. Warum kann ich nicht sagen aber eine Sicherung auf einen USB Stick funktioniert ohne Probleme. Warum aber die Sicherung über einen Netzwerkspeicher nicht funktioniert ist mir noch unklar.

Hi there, I have just setup loxberry version 3 today and am trying to configure the backup onto my NAS network share. I'm getting the same error as I've seen other people post here, screenshot below. The error is "Your entered DESTINATION path /mnt/trinity_loxberry_smb/backup does not exist or isn't writeable".

I have setup 2 mount points on my Pi using both NFS and Samba. I set them up using the dietpi-drive_manager tool. When logged in to the Pi via Putty, I can create both files and folders, using both the loxberry and root Pi users. So, there are no permissions problems from the command line, but it seems as though raspiBackup is having permissions problems. I have no idea how that could be, does anyone have any tips on how to resolve this?

NFS is tricky regarding permissions. 99,999999999999% of the errors are due to wrong permissions and file owners, because user IDs are not the same on the server and on your LoxBerry.

Use the Netshare Widget of LoxBerry to include a Samba share. Do not create mountpoints by yourself or you have to take care yourself about the permissions.

OK I did that, I now have a "Configured Server", but it's not listed as an available share, see screenshot below. It also does not appear as an available backup destination.



I found the share location in /media/smb/192.168.68.105, but it's not readable from the command line. Hence I guess why it's not listed as an available share. Which is weird as I could setup a successful mount (for the command line) using dietpi-drive_manager, using the same credentials...

Your old manually added mountpoints are still exist in fstab, maybe that creates a conflict.

I edited my previous post to add the log as a file, sorry about that.

So I removed the 2 mounts I had setup via dietpi-drive_manager. Then I deleted the Netshare I created in Loxberry. Then I re-created the Netshare in Loxberry - same result, I can't access the share via the command line at /media/smb/192.168.68.105, Netshare doesn't see it as an Available Server. Debuglog attached.

Where is raspiBackup in Loxberry. I can't find it searching on the command line with whereis. It would be useful to know the command line that is used to start a backup so I can play with that on the command line...

Can you send a screenshot when adding the server? Somewhere you have wrong settings…

The stars are me removing NAS share names that are not relevant to this exercise yes.

When adding a Netshare in Loxberry I only have the option to add the server IP address, username and password, that's it.

I am going to have to leave this for today, but if you can give me any info about where raspiBackup is located in Loxberry, if there are any more detailed logs that show the command used to invoke the backup, which user is being used to invoke the backup, all would be helpful... RaspiBackup is not used for this type of backup. It is a development from us for LoxBerry.

This is the command that seems to fail.
This is called, and then checked if the directory exists.
Both as root. The error is returned if the created directory could not be found.
