Missing Loxberry backup widget

Hello everyone,

I was trying to update to the newest Loxberry version and I got the notification that the update cannot continue due to too small partion size.

After a quick search on the net I found that when I use the Loxberry widget back-up, the problem would be resolved after rebooting from the backed up drive.

Up until there I'm completely following.

The problem is that I don't have the widget anywhere in my Loxberry, I've looked everywhere for the thing.

Can somebody help me out here?

PS: my current version is 2.2.1.2

First update to the latest 2.2 version. This will install the backup widget.

Yeah, that's the thing. It's impossible to update to that version because of my bootup partion is too small

No, you should update first to latest 2.2, after that to 3.0. Update to 2.2 latest is possible with the small boot partition. Only 3.0 needs the bigger boot partition.

Oh, das "Backup" Widget ist nun das Replacement für das "LoxBerry Backup". Ist bislang bei mir so nicht angekommen...

Du kannst beides nutzen, ganz wie Du willst. Nur kann das Backup-Plugin die Partitionen nicht vergrößern und hat manchmal auch so "rumgezickt", daher ist irgendwann mal das Backup-Widget entstanden.

Ok, danke. Das Backup-Plugin in LB V3 bricht mit einem Fehler ab, hab das eh hier irgendwo gepostet.

You need V2.2.2.2. You are at V2.2.1.2. This version has not the backup widget. I wrote several times: you need the latest V2.2 Release. And that is V2.2.2.2.

Aah I see. How do I install this version?
I've looked around at the github page, the loxwiki site for pointers but couldn't find the answer. I've been to this page https://wiki.loxberry.de/installatio...gelsites/start
and I saw to builds, the pipin and bilbo.

Well, it seems that you already permit the 3.0 update. This way he tries to install 3.0 now. Normalley there is a warning and you have to explictly have to allow the 3er update. Maybe you already clicked on that button.

Maybe Christian Fenzl knows where we store that information. I currently cannot remember...

In /opt/loxberry/config/system/general.json

Set the „max_version“ to 2.999 (or Lbmaxversion, something like that)

Reload the page, and then DON‘T press the Allow button but install 2.2.2 with the Install button below.

Thank you everyone, the problem was resolved and as a result I can now upgrade to v3.xxx
