ok so. yes now i am being able to store and the server is reachable and does not "crash".

i did tried to start the player as you said and it gave me an error of : test_open:277 playback open error : invalid argument
out pit init_common:382 : unable to open device

Maybe its because it is on board audio card ? and not recognised by the music server or something like thaT ?

You get the Error becouse the Player could not found your soundcard.
So we have to search why.

Look into the Settings->Soundkarte and send the sreenshots.

Intel HDA is not Supported!
Mainboard cards are always difficult. You can compile your one driver for your card. Otherwise use PCI-e or USB Sound cards.

Ok master I already purchased one of the compatible cards that you mentioned. anyway,until i get it what do u think about the Network Failed error ? should i try to fix it ?

Ok , i bought new 2 X CSL sound cards ,
1. I disabled Onboard audio card from bios
2. Both cards & Zones had been configured and still the internal players do not want to run
Network intenal status : "FAILED"

I get on terminal "Home directory not accessible: Permission denied

I suspect that you have installed Ubuntu with English language.
There is a problem with writing the settings.
So it is needed to install in German.

So, I installed ubunto in german & music 4 lox
and i get the same error , still players can not run

any rabbits in the hat ?

feel very stupid... Launching TeamViwer gui and basically it is stuck.. and getting it very hard to understand german logs, are you sure there is no way to install ubunto in english

im running ubuntu in english (desktop version 16.04 lts) and havnt had any problems at all with a couple of usb 8 channel cards.

i have 8 internal zones, 6 squeezebox radios, 2 logitech duets and 1 boom all running fine.

Dear Himastervoice,

I installed again and again and again , and i am about to give up (though i really want to succeed)

when installing ubunto server there were crashes every time i tried to change something to zone, and it was not stable, and after crash server was not reachable . I read here in the post that someone (duncan) installed desktop version in english and everything worked , so i tried it , and magically , there are no crashes and setting are being saved, everything else stayed the same- players can not run when trying to open the sc player i get the same error.

the main problem I have now is that the players do not want to start, after zones are created and i makes players . When I start to force them in terminal (sudo sc player 1 start ) i get this error( see in screenshot).

I would really need another brain. hope you can help me, Adam

i would love to have teamviewer seasion when you can if this would help
