0.5.3 t5 now playing not working

Hi,
i have a stable system running on a dell laptop, i7, 8gb, 512gb ssd
ubuntu 16 lts, cm106 sound card

all is working fine with internal and external zones

i just updated to 0.5.3 and and added the t5 receiver
it works for vol up/down and favourites next/previous, but i dont get any 'say favourite' announcements

any ideas?
other tts work fine by virtual input as before, so the connection to the tts server is fine

what TTS provider do you use?

I have seen the problem...
why do you use the Zonename in the Virtual Output?
In the documentation is exact written to use the MAC-Address and not the name.

The Mac is important to know the zone the command comes from.

There is a reason why I have written the documentation.

Did the say function work when you change to mac addesses?

unfortunately not - it still changes the favourite (although it misses the 1st favourite in the list, skips from last to 2nd and no voiceover, i can select the 1st favourite using direct LMS control, or sending the command bath1 favorites playlist play item_id:<v>\r where <v>=0

If i understad you the right way...

id 0 is not mysqueezebox.com...
If this is the case, the T5 will not work. Standard is that id 0 is not a custom favorit.

id 0 is the first favourite saved in my local running LMS under MS4L - i dont use mysqueezebox.com to play music or favourites.

skipping the first favourite isnt really a problem, just letting you know. The T5 receiver works to change the volume or the favourites from my local LMS whether i use the mac address or player name, but neither announce the name of the favourite.

It`s a over all problem when the first Fav is not mysqueeze.com.
I also don`t use it but I keep it still in the favs becouse it dosen`t metter me.
The whole system is programmed that the first fav is not a custom fav

I also work acctually on room-fav function, ans also in the function the first custom fav is 1.

PS: Mobil Apps don`t show that id 0, so at normal use you don`t see em

ok, so ill change the first favourite to mysqueezebox.com so it will get skipped, but i still dont get voice announcements of the other favourites... any ideas for that?

its the correct address of my server and mac address of the player - the actual change favourite function works fully, so does the volume, it just doesnt give the voice announcement.

Looks good for me... So I have to think about some minutes...
One thing, did you restart the T5-Receiver after changing the favs?

ok, just tried that - it didnt work either

so now the t5 favourites button skips mysqueezebox.com 1st favourite and cycles round all my proper favourites, but still no voice announcement unfortunately.

I habe done the test a my 3 systems and it worked at all of these.
At the moment `m not sure way it wont work at your system.

I`ll have a deeper look at sunday.

Hallo, ich bekomme die Favoriten Text Ansage mit dem T5 Receiver mit der 0.5.3 auch nicht zum laufen. Ich benutze voice RSS und habe auch den Token eingefügt welche auch mit dem Browser mittels einer Test url funktioniert. Sonst funktionieren alle Funktionen mit T2 und T5.

Please do me the favor and send me the list of installed packages...

Go to terminal and send me the output of...

sudo apt list --installed

...so I can check if there is a package missed
