    Parametric EQ for Musicserver4lox?

Currently using Sonos but I would prefer a single rackmount and I only use Spotify Connect anyway.

What I'd really like is to use REW and EQ each room. Is this posse using a plug-in like Brutefir?

You can use for each Player/Room a 15-Band EQ

I don´t know what REW is so no answer to that.

Room EQ Wizard does sound analysis that can be applied to a parametric EQ.

REW is free software for room acoustic measurement, loudspeaker measurement and audio device measurement and analysis

        OK...
So the answere is 100% no for suppporting direct any kind of this sofware.

There is an difference between Multiroom-Audio with wall/celling-speaker and audiophile listening of music with expensive HiFi-Equipment..

I use equipment to messure the room accustic in my "Music-Room".
That is not the sense of the MS4L.

So yes you can use a parametric 15-Band EQ, and also a Software on side for messureing the room and set the EQ for that room. But no connection for direct optimazion of the EQ.

Personally I'd like my sound to be as optimized as possible for any given situation. Having muffled vocals or strange dropouts is irritating no matter where. And can be more likely in ceiling speakers which can't be adjusted.

But I understand this is a very niche position to take.

If you buy good ceelings speaker like eg Canton, the is no need for a hudge optimization.

My experience is, It make absollutly no sense, becouse you never sit in the perfect position of wall/celling-speakers. So you can meassure as long as you whant, if you sit next time at an other chair at the table it sounds different.

The Software give you only the direction of setup the speaker, at the end your ears takes the desicion.
Maybe I like more bass than you or my ears dont like the the mid frequences that much.....
It is more important to find the best position for the speaker build a perfect case ....

Well anyway, I found the Brutefir plugin which can work with Audiolense. Now to figure out how to apply it to each particular zone and then go through the process of EQing each.

hismastersvoice I think good speakers are only half the equation and unless you are going to perfectly place the speakers and room treat, digital EQ can make a huge difference. Anyway, I will experiment and report back once I figure it all out (which will take a while as it is only one of many projects...)

What ever you whant to do...

But do me the favor dont use my software for this. I have created the MS4L to easy setup a multiroom system but not for music enthusiastic.
MS4L is the wrong solution for you in that case. Install LSM Squeezelite etc on a clean system an code your need around.

Sure - I understand your view even if I just want to push it further.

Thanks for the help... Just sorting out the last few issues on the simple install before exploring other options.
