    Netzwerk intern: ...FAILED Internet: ...FAILED

    Hello,

I am running 0.59 on a fresh install of Ubuntu LTS. Hardware is Qotom Q555G6 i5-7300U + Startech 7.1 external USB sound card.

    Three problems:

    1. I would like to use it with Spotify and have installed the Spotty plugin. When I try and authorize my account, it almost does so but then fails.
    2. The web interface seems to crash quite a bit as I will often get a reset connection.
    3. I have "Netzwerk intern failed; Internet failed" errors.

I would appreciate any help on solving any of these three issues.

Thanks. I tried setting it up this way and it shows no Spotify Connect players available.

I am also getting constant network connection reset errors and the whole system seems to go down. It is a clean install of Ubuntu LTS and MS4L and that is it. I might just try LTS and leave it running to see what happens.

          Ubuntu 16? 18?

At first you have to look why the network is not working well.
I think that is your main problem.

Any tips on what logs would be helpful for figuring out the MS4L errors and why it reports no network?

OK - still getting Network Failed errors, no idea why. I am able to access the web interface, so the network is working as far as I can tell.

I set up an internal zone using channels 0 and 1 of the soundcard. I also set up an internal player.

Then I go to MS4L Player Control and the Zone 1 isn't started and when I click start, it loads, but doesn't seem to start the process.

I am including some pics from the interface since I may have something misconfigured. I am able to ssh into the device and ping common internet sites, so the WAN indication doesn't match what is going on:

OK - so I got the network error messages to go away and it all looks good, has a static IP.

Now... I can't get the Player to start. I click on Start and nothing happens. I go to the LMS settings page and it shows "No player found".

Still getting pretty hard crashes of the system. I go to the direct keyboard and it is at the login prompt but when I login, I never get to the prompt. It just hangs

Nice to hear that the network is running...
The player don´t start becouse the soundcard is not working or is not configurated.

But at first, build a stable system before you try to fix other things.
I can´t support you with questions of the OS, I can´t say anything about your hardware.

Well did a clean Ubuntu install on the Qotom MiniPC I had earmarked for this and it was still crashing. I might have to run some diagnostics on the actual system.

Did another attempt in a VM on my Supermicro server and it went very smoothly. Now if only it was a docker so I wasn't running an entire Ubuntu VM just for MS4L!
