More than 8 channels

I got gifted a MOTU 24AO - a 24 channel USB audio interface. Since I am not a musician, I would like to use it for MS4L. Any chance of getting support for all those channels?

There is from my knowledge no support from Alsa to this interface.
Therefore no support from my side.

I think ALSA can see it... I am going to try and get at least 8 channels working. You can see the devices on the support data and it appears in ALSA.

It is easy to implement more than 8 channels...
But I don´t support it.

1. i can´t check if it works
2. it is an absolute exotic hardware

you can try and report...

goto /var/www/settings/set_soundcard.php
at line 183 put
<option>24</option>
and save

in the webui you can set 24 channels for your soundcard and save.
the script behind will create the soundcard files for alsa.

create a new zone an use channel number higher that >7 and try if it works

No - unfortunately I need to dive into JACK to get it working. I will probably mess with it more later.

Just an update, On Debian 11 wiith pipewire installed, it seems to work once I add in the 24 channels. Need to do some more testing.
