After the first reboot the crelay should be changed to the ARM binary and should work
Please go to the terminal...
cd /opt/music_server/
./crelay

If you get an error....

Please look if there is a file named crelay_arm in the directory.
If yes delete the crelay and rename crelay_arm to crelay.

Fixed it by copy the crelay file again from the source http://music-server.net/download/install.zip
Now the relays show up in the CLI "Detected relay cards: #1 HID API compatible relay card (serial 959BI)" and web gui "Found relay card - Serial: 959BI"

In the install.zip, seems the crelay file contains the string "arm" and the crelay_arm does not contains the string "arm" in it's content.
Maybe the files has been swapped during ZIP creation?

In the install.zip I deliver both crelay (X86) and crelay_arm (ARM). At first boot the system do a Check of the Platfrom, and if it is ARM the X86 file will be exchanged and renamed.
So if you copy the crelay_arm to the dir, the system has done the exchange and rename to crelay after a reboot. So at the end you should have only the crelay in the dir.

Take that on my list to watch if that happens more that one time in the future.

Correct I see the rename steps in the installation script.
But seems the files are already incorrect in the source "install.zip" file.

install.zip files:
- crelay => contains "arm" in it's file content
- crelay_arm => contains not "arm" in it's file content

Just want to let you know, maybe it's the root cause.

Funktioniert die Steuerung via GPIO´s schon ? Bei mir ändert sich der Zustand am GPIO nicht bei an/abschalten einer Zone.
Kann ich Manuel die GPIO´s ansteuern ?

So habe ich es eingerichtet:




Der Status des GPIO wechselt aber nicht.Um sicher zu gehen habe ich direkt das Multimeter an den GPIO angeschlossen.
Neustart wurde danach auch durchgeführt.

Ich wollte folgende GPIO´s benutzen: 17,27,22

Wobei die 27 der GPIO ist und die 1 einschalten bedeutet. Mit ..27 0 kannst du wieder ausschalten.

Ich hab es heute mal auf dem Raspberry 4 installiert. Hier funktioniert die GPIO Ansteuerung ohne Probleme.

Das Problem sollte dann also am 3er liegen.

Ich habe mal ein bißchen gespielt mit dem 4er und den GPIO´s. Wenn ich drei AMP Gruppen anlege und auch verschiedene GPIO´s eintrage
schalten immer alle Ein/Aus egal welche Zone man einschaltet.

Im Code werden die GPIOs einzeln verarbeitet.
Ich hatte das auch schon in der 1.0.12 mit 10 LEDs an den GPIOS simuliert, und die haben sauber geschaltet.
Werde am WE mal nachsehen und ein Update bereit stellen.

zuallererst mal vielen Dank für deine tolle Arbeit, echt Wahnsinn was du in deiner Freizeit für uns alle leistest!

Hab mir jetzt den MusicServer auf einem Raspberry 3B+ aufgesetzt, mit dem ich zur Zeit spiele und der längerfristig den originalen Loxone Musicserver ersetzen soll.
Dafür habe ich mir nun auch ein USB-Relay besorgt und angeschlossen, leider wird es bei CRelay nicht gefunden.
Ich habe deine Eingaben aus Post #45 im Terminal ausgeführt und komme zur selben Anzeige wie der Screenshot in Post #46 von querex .
Nun bin ich leider absoluter Laie was Linux angeht und bekomme es nicht hin die Datei einfach auszutauschen um zu sehen, ob das Relay dann gefunden wird bzw. weiß auch nicht, wie ich überprüfen könnte, ob die Version für x86 oder arm installiert ist...

Hättest du evtl. einen Tipp für mich?
Sonst versuche ich mein Glück mal mit GPIO

cRelay und GPIO werden gerade überarbeitet und ich werde wohl am WE ein update dafür zur Verfügung stellen.
GPIO scheint auch nicht bei allen zu funktionieren, da habe ich schon eine neue Lösung.
cRelay habe ich wohl die Binarys vertauscht, wird aber auch gefixt.

Running multiple weeks on the PI 4 (4GB).

Response from T5 button to execute the command take more time compared to my previous i7 setup (+/- 1,5 second).
Do other people experience the same?

After playing a radio stream for a long time (+/- 7 hours), seems there is loss on the audio stream (sounds as extreme low quality).
Problem is gone when you turn the music off for some minutes and restart the same radio stream again.
Problem persists when you does not turn the music off for a longer period (only 4 seconds) and start the same radio stream again.
Problem exists on other radio streams as wel (after playing +/- 7 hours).
Sounds like a performance / out of memory issue?
Is there any information which I can check / export when the problem occurs in SSH terminal?
Will continue testing tomorrow if the problem also occurs on spotify playlists for +7 hours of playing.

When I stop the audio player, load average moved back to 0.30 - 0.36
When I started the audio zone again, load average is 0.49 - 0.79

If I'm able to test / debug something else, please let me know.

Morgen geht es weiter mit der Entwicklung der Clieant... Da habe ich mir was aufgehalst
Config wird schon mal übertragen, und die Zonen laufen soweit nach Änderung.
Ich muss aber noch ein Logging einbauen das die Fehlersuche insbesondere bei Soundkarten-Fehler erleichtert.
Auch das löschen von Client funktioniert noch nicht wie ich will... Aber das wird schon alles

Anbei der kleiner Test-Parkour mit verschiedenen HATs, Raspi 3/4 Zero W, Raspi 3A+
Noch viel Arbeit vor mir...

Schickt mir doch noch was für Audio-HATs ihr schon habt, bzw. welche unterstützt werden sollten.

Is there some overview on hardware?
e.g. what's the minimum requirement? Is a Pi3B enough or do you need a B+ or higher?
And in second instance also on the amplifiers? Real amplifiers or HAT's: power consumption, ...
