    LMS IP address request

    Hello,
Perhaps a strange question, but is there a reason why it is not possible to change the LMS IP Address?
I would love to use the musicserver4home with an LMS hosted on a different computer...

    Thanks,

    Jörg

Not possible, LMS had to run on the same system.
To deep integrated, and makes absolute no sense to use LMS on an other device than MS4H

I have a media server on which I have all my media, and would prefer to keep it like that.

I thought pointing MS4H to a different LMS would be the easiest. As that is not an option, I'm now thinking about using the netshare mount to give the LMS installation on the MS4H access to the music files on the media server. As long as all my music is in a single folder structure (and I share that root), it should be doable to point LMS to the mounted share.

One small question: do you have a list of the ports MS4H use?

Yes, I found that netshare function, so I have a solution.
              Thanks for the ports information.
I'll start playing with it soon.
