Problem with settings after installation

Hello,

I have a problem installing ms4h. I tried the installation on Odroid UX4, Rpi3B and Intel NUC, all on DietPi v9.4. Unfortunately, the same result:

The installation will proceed correctly. After adding an internal zone, the network connection drops. Must be set again in dietpi-config.
I can't see the network connection settings in the ms4h GUI, everything is blank without settings, no IP address, MAC, etc.

Basically, every major change in the GUI means disconnecting the network connection and having to turn it on again via dietpi-config.

Thanks for the advice on where the problem might be.

Es wurde wieder am System was geändert, das macht irgendwie keinen Spaß mehr.
Ich bin eigentlich von Raspbian auf Dietpi gewechselt um das nicht mehr zu haben, aber das ist wohl überall das gleiche.

Muss mal schauen wann ich zum fixen komme.

ive tried setting up a new ms4h on a pi4 and pi5 and i get the same - the network settings are not working and have to be manually reset for each change, have the same issue on bookworm and bullseye

Today I got a Pi4 to do tests again.

If I use DietPI Images (not Armbian) it works fine, so no issues.

A new issue could come up with the changes of the Lyrion Server.
They don't set up the Playlist Directory at Startup, so I have to set it up with a script in the future, otherwise TTS etc don't work anymore.

ive just tried again using dietpi on a pi4 and pi5 and the problem is still there - change anything in the ms4h gui and at next boot the network interface is turned off

the only way to enable it is to connect a keyboard and monitor then use dietpi-config to reenable the network interface

What image exactly do you use?
Maybe we use different images

i downloaded them directly fromm the dietpi website:
for the pi4 ive got DietPi_RPi-ARMv8-Bookworm.img on 10/6/24 file size 886,968 KB
for the pi5 ive got DietPi_RPi5-ARMv8-Bookworm.img downloaded 24/6/24 1,048,576 KB

from windows i cant see any more info about build date etc though - is there a way we can compare images?

just a bit more feedback if it helps

i used dietpi-config to activate the ethernet, saved the changes but they get lost again after changes or a reboot
after using dietpi-config to activate ethernet again but changing to a fixed ip address using the dietpi-networking, the network is saved through ms4h interfaces changes and reboots

Hallo zusammen,

Ich habe heute bei meinem Intel Nuc 6CAYH die dietpi v9.9.0 (Bullseye) installiert.
Die Version habe ich mir über der Homepage MS4H heruntergeladen um sich eine Funktionierende Version zu haben.

DietPi_NativePC-BIOS-x86_64-Bullseye_Installer

Leider habe ich die selben Probleme bei den Netzwerkeinstellungen wie schon weiter oben beschrieben sind.
Ebenso verbindet sich der Miniserver Gen1 nicht mehr mit dem MS4H.
Gibt es dazu schon eine Lösung oder habe ich etwas übersehen?

Ich habe gerade einen meiner Test-NUC neu mit dem o.g. Image neu installiert, und es zeigt alles richtig an.

Ich gehe davon aus der er aus irgend einem Grund das Netzwerk-Interface nicht auslesen kann.

Kannst du diese beiden Befehle mal in der Konsole so eingeben und mit einem Screenshot die Ausgabe zeigen.
Bei einem von beiden sollte was kommen.
