    eBus for heating

    Hi all,

I've notice that there are a few topics on the forum about eBus. Unfortunately I don't understand a word of german. So it doesn't help me very much.
Therefor I thought is was helpful to start one in english.
I was wondering what is the easiest way to implement eBus on Loxone?
I prefer not to use a raspberry pi because I want to reduce my power consumption as much as possible. Adding more embedded system processors won't help.
Would Loxone consider developing a extension that enables us to talk to eBus devices?
How did manage to communicate over eBus with your heating device.

All the German threads are talking about boards like Raspberry and scripts to translate eBus communication. No direct solution is mentioned.

From German company ESERA-Automation an eBus-ethernet interface is available, where you can communicate from and to the eBus directly via TCP/UDP:

The communication commands are dependent to the heating manufacturer and not every manufacturer publishes it's commands. This needs some detective work (googling, sniffing).

Loxone's roadmap is not public. Devices are available as soon as they promote it.

    Regards, Christian
