Recommended naming convention for items/modules

The naming convention is very important when naming your modules and items.

From your experience do you have a good naming convention proposal ?
How did you named your ,module/items ?

I am interested in providing names that are giving enough information about hierarchy, easy to be identified in logs but probably not too long.
