up/down buttons with up/down effect?

Hello,

I'm trying to get up/down buttons in the app. A VI allows me to do this, but the output of the VI is a value. I would need an action for up and an action for down (I cannot set the value directly the actions are sent via http posts).

Is there a way to do this other than 2 buttons? I'm looking at VI, +/- switch, even dimmers, but all output just the value.

Or is the only option to subtract an analog memory of the value from a delayed version of itself and test that one: if >0 ... and if < 0 ... ?

Possibly I’m wrong (writing on the mobile - not verified for now), but if you set a VI to digital, in the Visualization area of it’s properties, you can set the visu type to up/down or left/right.
Changing to that, the VI gets two digital outputs.

I knew it was something with the VI, but did not think of putting it to digital.
