    Loxone + Logitech media server

I'm using the Logitech Media Server as my central music system.
Now I'm wondering if there are also other people using this combination with Loxone.
If so, how do you guys control your playlist, radio stations, etc? Are you guys/girls using 2 apps? Or how is this best done?

In this thread, there is a nice explanation on how to configure it with Loxone: https://www.loxforum.com/forum/faqs-...loxone-steuern
The main content is a google doc file, which summarizes it all and gives examples. It is in German, but it should be understandable because of the screen shots and examples. Be sure not to forget a whitespace after the mac-address in the loxone interface, or it won't work.

I'm still in the process of integrating it, but at the moment I just plan to use a simple MediaController block to provide the functionality of the IR remote of the squeezebox. For me, the Logitech app works fine, although other people seem to prefer iPeng (if I'm not mistaken). Using such an app immediately gives so much functionality that for me it is not worth the effort if integrating it more in Loxone - it would be very nice if could launch that one from Loxone but I have not found how to do that...

J V, thanks for your reply. I will take a look at iPeng, but the name alone already refers to Apple, which I do not have in or house. Everything here is android But there is more than probably an app like iPeng for android.

Now that I read the opening post, it isn't very clear what I want to accomplish I've added a screenshot of what I want to create.
In the left top corner I can go to all my lights. On the left bottom I can immediately select a radio station, etc.
In the center at the top my current temperature of the living room should be displayed. Pressing this block will go to the setting of the thermostat.
All will be displayed at a 7 inch tablet. One in my living room, one in my kitchen.

Main reason for doing it like this, is that I want to integrate the Logitech Media Server and Loxone into 1 dashboard.

The thread I posted is really about controlling the Squeezebox devices from Loxone, and includes playlist things. So for sure that is possible, without any other software. There are limitations though with getting data back from the Squeezeboxes (such as cover art or maybe even now playing info), which is why I mentioned the other apps. But perhaps it is not necessary to integrate Squeezebox with Loxone for your purpose: the software you plan to use to make your dashboard might be able to communicate directly with the Squeezeboxes. Things like OpenRemote are capable of that, and the Squeezeboxes have a very open protocol.

I'm working on using EventGhost to make a web based control dashboard but never have enough time for it. It also has the downside that the PC with EventGhost has to be running...
