SDM630 - no communication over modbus??

I have been trying for the past 3 hours to get my SDM630 to communicate over modbus, and am about to give up...
All settings are the same in loxone config and in the SDM630:
Baud rate 9600
Parity even
stop bit 1
address 1

That should be all there is to it, but no values come in at all...
Sometimes I see my modbus extension flashing red/orange, I'm assuming this is an error, but I have no clue what causes it...

Any ideas?

Fixed!

parity had to be set to "none".
Hope this helps any future people who might encounter this problem.
