Controlling Onkyo TX-NR1030 and TX-RZ1100 with ISCP commands work only some!

    Hello
    I have problem.
I tested following receivers for controlling with ISCP commands via Loxone:
    Onkyo TX-NR1030
    Onkyo TX-RZ1100
    Onkyo TX-NR626

I tried Volume UP, DOWN, Power ON, Power Off, Play, STOP and get states from onkyo - "QSTN" in PicoC

    On TX-NR626 works everything fine!
But on TX-NR1030 and TX-RZ1100 works fine only two words commands!

    Works:
    PWR 01
    PWR 02
    MVL UP

    Does note work:
    MVL DOWN
    MVL UP1
    MVL DOWN1
    PWR QSTN
    NTZ PLAY
    NTZ STOP

I used predefined format in Loxone Config: (ie. for Master Volume)

    ISCP\x00\x00\x00\x10\x00\x00\x00\x08\x01\x00\x00\x 00!1MVLUP\x0D - works!
    ISCP\x00\x00\x00\x10\x00\x00\x00\x08\x01\x00\x00\x 00!1MVLDOWN\x0D - does not work!

    I tried everythig...
I got not support from Loxone and Onkyo too. I am trying to solve this problem aprox half a year - without success.

I Have borrowed Yamaha RX-A2060 and there was everythink ok.

    Can someone help me ?

    Thank you!

Hello, all who will have a communications problem ONKYO - Loxone - after today NR555 AVR testing, I found that it really is an error in communication with Loxon templates. During several hours of research, I found a bug, which is on the side of the LOX. config.

Communication error is not for AVR but Loxon. ! Who would want a solution. Please contact me at. soukup@total-servis.cz.

Result: everything works as it should, Volume UP and DOWN and others

In one or some versions of Loxone firmware, the 0x00 value closed the string and connection.
If you are not on the current firmware, you possibly should give 8.3 a try.

PS: I see, 0x00 usually works for you - possibly the commands are wrong?
Have you tried with something like netcat?

                Hello,
I have file with iscp ver 1.32, but the question is, how did you understand that you need to enter command ISCP\x00\x00\x00\x10\x00\x00\x00\x0A\x01\x00\x00\x 00!1MVLDOWN\x0D instead of ISCP\x00\x00\x00\x10\x00\x00\x00\x08\x01\x00\x00\x 00!1MVLDOWN\x0D (difference in "\x08" and "\x0A")

                Regards,
                Dmitriy

Hello. Its in protocol section in XLS file documented, So \x08 Is in HEX format lenght of instruction with part MVLUP, and if you want send MVLDOWN, length is plus two characters, then you must change x08 to x0A.
